Growing up, people always assumed our cousins were our siblings, because we were together all the time. As we grew, work, school and everyday commitments slowly took our time away. How often we say, we need to get together soon, but months pass before we come together again. When we finally do, it is always over a meal. Creating time for family and loved ones, doesn’t need to be complicated. The meals do not need to be extravagant, and they don’t have to be at the best restaurant. Coming together in the home doesn’t need to mean hours spent in the kitchen, although doing so can make memories on its own. Life is hectic and unpredictable, so even if it’s a one pot pasta dish and a loaf to break, it just means you can spend a little less time cooking and a little more time with family. 

Valente Market has been handcrafting artisanal pasta in Charlottesville, Virginia since 1982 following the recipes of their Italian grandmother. Made the traditional way by mixing, rolling cutting and air-drying, the pasta cooks in 3-5 minutes making a quick, fresh tasting meal. With an assortment of pasta styles + flavors, whether you are looking for a quick mid-week dinner or a pasta base for a new recipe, Valente Market pasta is a meal that will bring the whole family together.

Cooking Directions

  • Cook pasta in plenty of salted, rapidly boiling water for 3-4 minutes
  • Stir frequently
  • Test for doneness
  • Do not overcook
