Steamed shrimp :
All you Need:
1/2 Pouch of seafood seasoning (22 ml/1.5 Tbsp.)
125 ml (1/2 cup) water
125 ml (1/2 cup) beer or cider vinegar
1.5-2lbs raw shrimp (with or without shells)
All you do:
Combine seasonings, water and beer or vinegar in a large pot, cover and bring to a boil over high heat. Once boiling add shrimp, stir and cover. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stir, cover and continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes until all the shrimp are pink and cooked all the way through.
If using shrimp with shells on, serve hot with cocktail sauce for dipping, these will be a little messy but well worth it. Serve with your choice of side dishes, corn, potatoes etc..
If using peeled shrimp, these can also be chilled and served as a delicious shrimp cocktail.
