Brie Topping Mix- Maple Walnut

Description 

A delightful blend of sweet Maple sugar and the texture of walnuts… Our toppings make it easy to serve a tasty Baked Brie or Camembert soft cheese at home. Bake and enjoy the delicate flavours as they combine in every mouthful. Just prepare our dry toppings as indicated on the box. Place an 8oz round of Brie or Camembert in an oven proof container or in one of our Brie Bakers. Score the top of the cheese with a sharp knife to allow the flavours to blend together, spoon on your prepared topping, bake and enjoy.

Packaged in our original sealed pouches storage should be in cool (< 21 C or 70 F), dry (< 60% r.h.)area to provide a minimum shelf life without appreciable loss of flavour or functional characteristics.

Recipe Directions 

MAPLE WALNUT BAKED BRIE TOPPING
All you need:
1 Pouch Gourmet Village Brie Topping
20 ml (4 tsp) orange juice or liqueur
1-225g/8oz small round Brie/Camembert
1 French baguette, sliced thinly and toasted on both sides, under the oven broiler

All you do:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Score the top rind with a knife OR remove top rind of cheese, leaving rind on sides and bottom intact. Place cheese, cut side up, in skillet or Brie Baker. Put contents of toppings pouch, butter and brandy or juice in a small microwave safe bowl, and microwave for approximately 25-30 seconds.
Stir to blend. Microwave for 2 more increments of approximately 25-30 seconds, stirring each time. Pour mixture evenly over prepared cheese. Place skillet or Brie Baker in center of hot oven for 15-20 minutes. Remove from oven and serve with baguette slices.
