It’s Labor Day, a day that recognizes and celebrates the American worker. It is a weekend filled with barbecues, beach parties, and carnivals, and on a sadder note for some, it is the unofficial sendoff to the summer season. Families have taken their final vacations and schools are back in session. Sports are back in swing with college and professional teams playing their first games, kicking off the fall sports season.
Of course, one of the final marks of the true transition into the fall season is the change in weather. As the days become shorter and the temperature drops, tank tops and shorts soon become sweaters and leggings. Neons and pastels turn to greys and burgundies, and the go to white sundress becomes a little black dress. While some may still adhere to the old tradition of swearing off whites after the summer season, the color still certainly has something to add to your fall closet. We’ll give some of the ways we love to wear white after Labor Day.
Plaid is a classic way to ring in the fall season. It is also the perfect way to still wear white well into fall. The black in this dress plays well with the white creating a look with stark contrast, making it a great fall choice. A suede black hat paired with deeper makeup shades pull the whole outfit together. We completed this outfit with timeless black sneakers, but cute black booties would make for a great combo!
There is nothing more perfect for fall than the staple fleece lined pull over crew neck. Transition from your basic white tee to your basic crew neck sweatshirt. Paired with some blue jeans, this makes a go to fall favorite. Accent this look with gold and deep colored jewelry pieces to bring in some warmer tones. Throw your hair up in a clip and get ready to relax with this comfortable and casual fall style.
Hoodies don’t have to be just to lounge around the house. Wanakome sweatshirts are our favorite fall and winter piece. With cool nights approaching Wankome’s pieces are ones that are both flattering and comfortable. This block print sweatshirt has white, cream, and grey shades and can be worn well throughout the fall. Worn with black leggings or even jeggings, this sweatshirt can be worn both casually or can be dressed up for a night out. They are the ultimate street style, trending piece. Knit wear it’s your time to shine! Fall is the ultimate sweater weather. Crisp air and a cool breeze, it is just enough to wear a sweater or cardigan without having to layer up too heavy. What better way to start wearing your trendy knits than to wear it white! This white knit open cardigan with light blush stripes is a great way to start bringing out your thicker pieces. Just pair it with jeans (even some white denim would look great!) and go grab your coffee. :)
Summer is ending, but that doesn't mean all your white clothes has to go too! Get exicted for all the plaid, sweaters, and cozy things...we sure are!
